Google opens new building as report claims firm contributed €10bn to Irish GDP last year

Google has confirmed its newest building in Dublin’s Docklands, the Bakery, as a new report claims the company contributed more than €10 billion to the Irish economy last year.
The Implement Consulting Group report estimates that Google contributed more than €10 billion to Ireland’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in 2025 alone, and supported over 18,000 jobs across the wider Irish economy, including more than 6,000 Google employees.
The Bakery will have capacity to accommodate up to 1,900 workers as well as a dedicated events hub.
It is located on Grand Canal Street in Dublin at the site of the original 1874 City of Dublin Bakery founded by Patrick Boland, will add 325,000 square feet to its existing footprint in Ireland.
