Kidlare food and drink companies received top prizes at the Irish Food Awards.

This year nine producers from Co. Kildare were shortlisted across a wide range of categories, with seven of them taking home coveted Blas na hEireann awards in Dingle.

The bronze, silver and gold winners from the county include: Bergins Family Butchers, Coghlans Bakery Products Ltd., Couverture Desserts Ltd., O'Brien Fine Foods, Rye River, The Dew Drop Brewhouse and Wild Women Bitters Ltd, T/A Beara Bitters.

Naas based Coghlans Bakery Products Ltd. was awarded Best in County, proudly sponsored by Kildare Local Enterprise Office.

“Coghlan’s Artisan Bakery is a great example of family business, and a model for those wishing to scale up as Co Kildare businesses are ideally located to do successfully.” said Kildare County Council’s Head of Enterprise, Economic Development and Tourism, Jacqui McNabb.

“We are delighted to see so many of our LEO supported micro-SME businesses make it to the final stages and receive their awards and look forward to supporting their continued growth and success.” 2025 marks another record year for Blas na hÉireann, with over 3,000 entries across more than 180 categories, reflecting the strength and diversity of Irish food and drink.

This year’s finalists and winners had the opportunity to showcase their products at the Blas Village and the popular Eat Ireland in a Day market, both of which returned to Dingle alongside the annual Backyard at Blas panel discussions supported by Bank of Ireland. The weekend offered producers a chance to connect with buyers, industry experts, media, fellow producers, and food lovers, while also celebrating the people, and the talents, that make Irish food so special.
