Kildare woman wins cookery programme for local school

Kildare native, Gemma Fitzgibbon, selected the Golden Token at Tesco to choose a local school for Tesco Stronger Starts Cooks programme.

At Tesco Extra, Maynooth, Gemma selected Presentation Girls School Maynooth, for the programme which teaches primary school pupils essential cooking skills and confidence in the kitchen. 

Stronger Starts Cooks is a new, free six-week programme which will be delivered to almost 3,000 primary school pupils across 42 primary schools this year, supporting children’s health and wellbeing by giving them hands-on experience with food and nutrition.
