Killashee awarded employer certification

KILASHEE Hotel in Naas is officially a ‘Great Place To Work’ as it was awarded certification for a second year running in December 2024. Killashee Hotel’s journey with Great Place To Work started in 2022 through the Employer Excellence programme, that was launched with Failte Ireland. Certification is based solely on the employee experience and their feedback which is captured through an annual survey.

A great workplace is all about the level of trust that employees experience in their leaders, the level of pride they have in their jobs and the extent to which they like their colleagues.

Commenting on the certification Ger Alley, General Manager Killashee Hotel says, “What has been hugely important is providing our people with a voice and implement changes based on their feedback. With an engaged and happy team we are able to continuously create improvements for our guests and customers to enjoy the beautiful hotel for their special occasions, customer meetings and relaxing stays.” Since Killashee started its journey with Great Place To Work in 2022, the hotel has been actively developing a positive working environment where everyone is encouraged to reach their full potential. The focus has been placed on improving all key people pillars starting from basics of investing in staff facilities, with training, learning and development opportunities, improved communication channels, culture programme, company core values launch, established culture champions, introduction of recognition system, engagement strategy, performance management to succession planning and future proofing the business.
