A DELIVERY driver was left shaken after a branded Four Star Pizza car was stolen during a delivery in Naas last week.

The incident occurred on Wednesday evening, October 1, at approximately 8:50pm, after the Naas branch received an order from the Lakelands area.

According to an online report from the store which was posted on the Naas Ball page, the order had been placed from an unknown number, prompting suspicion that it might be fake.

The driver recalled stepping out of the vehicle to find the delivery address when three young men approached, with the driver believing one of them to be holding a “small knife.” The men then took the car and drove off.

“This was a very distressing incident,” said the driver.

“If anyone in the Lakelands area witnessed what happened or has any information that could help, I would deeply appreciate your support.”

In a statement Gardaí confirmed that they received a report of an “unauthorised taking of a vehicle” that occurred in Lakelands that evening.

Gardaí also confirmed that the vehicle was then later recovered somewhere in County Kildare.
