New social housing opened in Kildare

KILDARE County Council has officially opened Ambassador’s Place, a new social housing development at Green Hills, Kill, providing 33 much needed homes for individuals and families in the community.
The development was opened by Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, James Lawless TD, in the presence of the cathaoirleach, cllr Carmel Kelly.
The scheme provides a mix of one, two and three-bedroom houses, together with one and two-bedroom apartments.
A number of homes are age-friendly and universally designed at ground-floor level to support accessibility and independent living.
The project was delivered by Kildare County Council in partnership with Van Dijk Architects, Hayes Higgins Partnership, Townmore Construction and other specialist design and engineering teams.
Cllr Kelly said: “These new homes will support residents to put down roots in a well-connected community, and they reflect our ongoing commitment to delivering sustainable housing across Kildare.”
Minister Lawless added: “I am delighted to see these much-needed homes delivered here in Kill, providing quality housing in a well-located and growing community. Delivering social housing at scale remains a key priority, and projects like Ambassador’s Place demonstrate what can be achieved through strong collaboration between local authorities and delivery partners.”
