A NEW fire station for Monasterevin has taken a step forward with confirmation that a site has been identified for the development.
Responding to a question from cathaoirleach of the Kildare-Newbridge Municipal District, Noel Connolly, at the latest council meeting, the acting chief fire officer confirmed that the fire service has sourced a new site on the Dublin Road, close to a previously agreed location.
The next stage will involve appointing an independent valuer and solicitor to progress the purchase of the site.
