THE REGENERATION of St Patrick’s Park in Rathangan is progressing well, but the completion date for the project is now expected to be pushed back to March 2027.

The update was provided by Kildare County Council in response to a question from cllr Noel Connolly, who asked what progress was being made on the regeneration of the estate and what the target date was for completion.

According to the council, 10 units have now been refurbished, while two new-build houses are substantially complete.

A further five units are currently at various stages of progress. However, the anticipated completion date has been extended from December 2026 to March 2027.

The council said the delay is primarily due to unforeseen issues with underground electrical and water services, which resulted in the works having to be resequenced.

The housing regeneration project will therefore continue into 2027, with completion currently anticipated by March.
