Restored Kildare cottages will be available to rent in October

Fairview Cottages, Kildare Town
A RESTORATION project for a terrace of derelict cottages in Fairview, Kildare Town, many of which were left fire-damaged and vandalised in recent years, will be fully completed soon with the properties available for renting at the end of October.
According to the plans, the new extensions will enhance living space while bringing the homes up to modern standards of energy efficiency, with the aim of achieving A-rated energy performance across the terrace. Extension sizes vary from 14 to 38 square metres, depending on the cottage.
The works also include new garden walls, a pedestrian walkway, and connections to existing water and sewer services.
The development forms part of a terrace that adjoins No. 19 Fairview Cottages, a building listed on Kildare County Council’s Record of Protected Structures, meaning the restoration will have to respect the vernacular streetscape.
These historic two-bed, one-bath houses will be available to rent from October 30, 2025, and will be priced at €2,200 per month.
The listing on Daft.ie explains that the houses are "located ideally" in Kildare Town, close to an abundance of amenities including schools, childcare facilities, shops, and the local train station.
