AN EXCITING fundraising event has been announced by McAuley Place. On Saturday, 20 July, they will be holding Ireland's first ever 1000 Golf Ball Drop and Family Fun Day, taking place in Craddockstown Golf Club.
This unique fundraising event , which was the brainchild of the wonderful Gay Nolan, will drop 1000 pre-numbered golf balls from a height of over 100 feet onto an especially prepared green on the eighteenth golf hole at Craddockstown Golf Club.

Pre-numbered golf balls will be sold at €50 a ball, with all funds going to the McAuley Place charity.
There will be prizes for the three pre-numbered golf balls that end up closest to the golf hole.
The first prize will be €5000 for the ball nearest the hole, the second prize will be €1500 and the third prize will be €1000.
An independent official will measure the precise distance of each ball from the hole to determine 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners if the competition gets too close, ensuring fairness at the event.
The family fun day will take place close to the golf ball drop and will include children’s activities, such as face painting, an entertainer, a magician, games, live music with PA system, and ice cream and a BBQ.
Each ball is €50, you can purchase ball at McAuley Place Reception or by clicking the link: https://www.shop.mcauleyplace.ie/1000-golf-ball-drop-mcauley-place
