THREE Kildare hotels were among those awarded at the Irish Hotel Federations’s (IHF) inaugural Quality Employer Awards, which took place recently at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Athlone.
The awards recognise hotel teams that have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to excellence in people development and HR best practices through their participation in the IHF’s Quality Employer Programme.

The Clanard Court Hotel in Athy, Kilkea, Castle Hotel & Golf Resort, and the Killashee Hotel & Spa in Naas received awards in various categories.
All three hotels were recognised for their achievements in HR best practices and people management.

First, the Clanard Court Hotel was among those awarded the Quality Employer award at the certified level.
In the advanced level, Kilkea Castle Hotel & Golf Resort won an award, and finally, Naas’s Killashee Hotel was recognised as a Quality Employer in the expert level category.
Over 70 hotels gathered for the ceremony.
Chair of the judging panel Dr Donagh Davern, Munster Technological University, spoke of the importance of the awards.
“The judging panel were delighted to see evidence of a people-centric approach and the progress made in elevating the employer brand of the hotel profession."
