Athy band Picture This have announced details of a very special show on Saturday 14 December at the Gleneagle INEC Arena, Killarney with tickets going on sale this Friday.
For the first time ever they will be recording a live album on stage. If you attend this show you'll be given a wristband that will unlock the live album on Christmas Day before it is available anywhere else.
Picture This have recently released their newest single ‘Middle of Love’ – an emotional collaboration with singer-songwriter Dean Lewis. Gentle yet full of longing, frontman Ryan Hennessy and the Australian feature guest sing about being trapped within the agonising love for the same girl.
“When I first started writing ‘Middle of Love’ as a male duet the very first person I thought I’d love to feature on it was Dean Lewis,” Ryan recalled of how the song came together. “I’ve been a fan for years and we’ve crossed paths a few times but had never worked together. Dean loved the idea as soon as I sent it to him and got to work on it right away and he took it to a whole new level like I knew he would. He was always the perfect person for this collaboration and I’m so glad we could make it happen.”

Dean added: “I’ve been a huge fan of Picture This for so long and the first time I heard about them I heard that they play these huge shows in Ireland which I thought was so cool because as I jokingly told them I’m 30% Irish! I’ve always wanted to work with the boys and we got in a room and finished the song together that they had started and it was just a really fun process! I’m excited for everybody to hear it.” Known for hits such as ‘Be Alright’ and ‘Waves’, Dean has received over 13 billion streams worldwide and dozens of multi-platinum, platinum and gold certifications since his debut EP ‘Same Kind of Different’ in 2017. His new, long-awaited album ‘The Epilogue’ will be released this autumn.
Recently, Picture This performed to a total of 60,000 fans across sold-out shows in Dublin, Belfast and Cork. Their latest album, ‘Parked Car Conversations’, soared to #2 on the Irish Album Charts, #70 in the UK with over 2,000 physical sales and #90 in Germany. Thus, they have been on Arena Tour with Rae Garvey and their hit single "Somewhere Close To Heaven" achieved #16 on the German Airplay Charts.
In October, Picture This will be on Tour again, with five shows scheduled in Germany.
