The 12 chairs in the exhibition are chairs from Cuan Mhuire while the exhibition is also influenced by the work of people like Sr Consilio, who is featured in the exhibition, as is Mary Couglan the singer. Grá Ni Bhroin, who works as a counsellor in Cuan Mhuire has also been working as one of the featured creatives.

Through a range of media, the exhibition aims to challenge stigma, spark conversation, and offer insight into the complexities of addiction.

The exhibition is a testament to resilience, showcasing the voices of individuals who have navigated addiction, families affected by substance misuse, and the broader community impacted by these experiences.

The title 12 is a nod to the significance of structured support systems and the transformative power of creative expression in the healing process.

Visitors to Dunamaise Arts Centre will have the opportunity to engage with the artwork in an immersive setting, reflecting on the societal and personal dimensions of addiction.
