Annual river clean-up in Athy

ATHY'S annual river clean-up will take place once again in April and locals are asked to join in on tidying up the area.

The clean-up will take place on Saturday 25 April, meeting on Emily Square at 10am.

Athy Town Promoters said: “We warmly welcome everyone who enjoys our beautiful waterways to spare just an hour of their time to help make a difference. Whether you’re a regular volunteer or joining us for the first time, your support is greatly appreciated.” 

With the clean-up day being in its 26th year, Athy Town Promoters recognise the dedication of all those who have contributed over the years.

The group added: “By taking part, you’ll be helping to protect our local environment, preserve wildlife habitats, and keep Athy looking its best for everyone to enjoy!"
