THE ATHY Fitsticks Programme – the group that meets regularly for exercise using activator poles for enhancing mobility, strength, balance and aerobic fitness – convened for a heartwarming – and body-warming – workout session at the new and improved Emily Square.

The programme, which is proudly supported by Athy Municipal District Local Property Tax funding, was joined by local representative cllr Veralouise Behan on the day who worked up a sweat with the group, embracing all the space at the new square.

Athy Town Promoters took to social media highlighting the 'unforgettable' gathering.

The group wrote: 'For the very first time, the Fitsticks programme made its mark on the beautiful new Emily Square – a moment to remember and a milestone for our community!”

It continued: 'We walked, we laughed, we moved – all while creating memories in the heart of Athy.'
