Barberstown Castle in Straffan, Kildare has opened its doors to community members that are without power and need assistance.

The hotel posted on Facebook earlier this morning: "We understand many of our neighbours are without power. Please know that Barberstown Castle has a generator and our doors are open to anyone who needs a place to charge devices and keep warm.

"We’ll also be serving breakfast in our Garden Bar for anyone who’d like a warm meal and hot drinks!"

"Stay safe, and please follow the recommended safety guidelines. We’re here to help in any way we can."

If anyone is without power in Straffan and needs use of the generator, head up to Barberstown Castle. They'll have you sorted.
