The stage of the CMWS Hall in Kildare Town was transformed into the hilariously chaotic world of
, as 82 talented 5th and 6th class pupils from St Brigid’s Primary School showcased their talents.
The show wowed audiences with six show-stopping performances.
The musical-comedy, a fresh twist on classic nursery rhymes, brought belly laughs and mystery in equal measure as Detective Jack Spratt investigated crimes in the quirky town of Happy Valley.

With a stolen recipe book, a kidnapped cow, and Papa Bear’s suspicious porridge empire, the production kept the audience guessing—and giggling—from start to finish.

This outstanding production was the result of dynamic direction from teachers Helena Egan, Colin O’Neill, and Helen Daly, lively choreography by Jane Tynan-King, technical direction by Kyle Dunne and contributions from the wider staff of St Brigid's Primary School.

Porridge was a superb showcase of teamwork and creativity from the entire school community.

Over 1,500 attendees packed the CMWS Hall to support the young cast, whose dedication, energy, and joy lit up the stage.

The production was more than just a show — it was a celebration of school spirit, community, and the magic of performance.
