Newbridge College Union announces new President Stephen Clayton

NEWBRIDGE College Union has announced their new president at this year’s annual general meeting.

The Union announced Stephen Clayton as the new President, taking over the mantle from Morgan O’Callaghan who held the position last year.

Stephen, who is the owner of two local retail businesses in Kildare, Daybreak in Newbridge and Daybreak Kilcullen, was delighted on receipt of the position.

When speaking on his appointment he said that he is privileged and honoured to take on the role and to be part of the continuing commitment to the past pupil body of the school.

The Union also recently celebrated a wonderful reunion of the Newbridge College, Class of 1995, which was recently held at The Silken Thomas in Kildare. Over 60 people attended the 30-year reunion – with former classmates travelling from all over the map, including the US and Australia, to make it for the night.

“The evening was full of great conversations, new connections, and plenty of laughs.”

Newbridge College Union also gave a special thanks to Class Ambassadors Leanne Cross, Brian Flanagan, Caitriona Ross, and Barry Reidy for supporting this event.
