will be held in Kilcullen Town Hall on 30 August, in memory of Mischa Fekete. The version is one in which Mischa directed and acted in 2004.Mischa died last December, having lived in Kilcullen since 1992, when he was among the founding group for Bridge Camphill in what was at the time just a field below the bridge.
From early on, he became involved in music and theatre in Kilcullen, a notable beginning being set designer for Guys and Dolls in 1997 for a youth drama group.
Mischa's involvement with Kilcullen Drama Group included directing many productions, among them
(2005), the Christmas Cracker entertainment show (2008), (2009), a (2010) co-directed with the late Bernard Berney, (2012) — perhaps his crowning achievement managing more than 30 people on the stage, (2017), and (2019), co-directed with Eilis Philips. He had also designed and led the building of the set for in 2011.In 2015, Mischa was presented with a Kilcullen Community Award, a recognition for someone who had made 'a huge contribution' to Kilcullen over the previous two decades and more.
