Santa to turn on Naas Christmas lights

The Christmas lights in Naas will be switched on at the end of the month
Start writing your letters and checking your lists as Santa is coming to Naas on Saturday 30 November.
He will arrive around 11 at the grotto in the new Naas Library and Cultural Centre having travelled from the civil defence building at Aras Chill Dara through the town ably assisted by his elves and escorted by local gardaí and the garda mounted unit on horseback, unless the reindeer object to them. Parents are asked to come early to secure your place!
Organisers are asking all to help decorate the outdoor library space by making a Christmas decoration from recycled or natural materials e.g. acorns, leaves, paper or feathers. Bring your wonderful creations with you on your Santa visit so we can hang them up in time for Christmas.
At 5pm, Santa will be switching on all the Christmas lights around town, but before then there will be music at the courthouse from 12 noon so come along and get into the festive mode.
This year’s Christmas markets will be even bigger than, straddling the length of Abbey Street and will have something for everyone! The markets will finish at 5pm, so everyone can enjoy Santa and the lights so come early and find your special item.
Even if you don’t manage to get there on the 30th you will have another chance to visit the markets again on Saturday 7 December. There will be stands selling jewellery, candles, wreaths and homemade baskets. Something for everyone.
