Easter egg hunt & dog walk at Punchestown this Friday

Easter Egg Hunt takes place on Friday

THIS coming Friday 18 April we will hold our annual children’s Easter egg hunt & our easter dog walk at Punchestown Racecourse, just outside Naas. This is a free event, although donations will be gratefully accepted to help the KWWSPCA in its work.

The Easter Egg Hunt is from 2pm to 4pm with easter eggs as prizes for the children. The dog walk starts at 3pm and is on level ground (but some small hills) and takes 45 minutes to an hour.

Please bring your own dog, but remember it must be on its lead (and must be wearing a muzzle if it is on the list of restricted breeds) to partake in the organised walk.

You might meet some of our shelter dogs who will be in attendance, hoping they get spotted for a potential new home.

It is a delightful way to spend a couple of hours on Good Friday. If you’re attending and have some plastic bottles or cans that qualify for the “Return/Recycle” scheme, please bring them along to our donation point as we are currently using this scheme to raise funds for our cattery.

We remind you that our 'Kitty Cottage' is now open every Saturday at our Shelter in Athgarvan, Eircode W12 EV60, between 1.30-3.30pm without appointment, should you be interested in adopting one of our lovely cats in rescue.

If we have kittens in our care that are ready for adoption, they also can be seen there. Just bring photo ID, a cat carrier and a €100 fee which helps offset out veterinary costs as all the available cats will have been neutered/spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.

KWWSPCA is a registered charity no. CHY 6280 and our contact details can be found at www.kwwspca.ie.
