Kildare animal charity holding bazaar this weekend

Our fundraising continues with a ‘Late Summer Bazaar’ which takes place this coming Sunday (29 September), at the KWWSPCA Animal Shelter near Athgarvan (Eircode W12 EV60) from 12 noon to 3pm.

There will be stalls selling a wide variety of items including cakes, household goods, bric a brac, small items of furniture, pictures, mirrors, clothes and accessories, books and products for your pets and, for the children, face painting and an obstacle course to enjoy!

Light refreshments will be available and plenty of room for parking. As this is an open-air event, if the weather is bad that day then the Bazaar will be postponed to Sunday 13 October.

We hope you can support us on the day and hopefully grab a bargain too!

Our cat section recently reported a very successful month of July with the trap/neuter/return team answering calls all over the county and dealing with a total of 38 cats. Of these 38 cats that were trapped, 25 were female and 13 were male bringing an end to the breeding among these cats.

The fostering programme did very well with many of the kittens neutered/spayed and homed.

Inevitably many of the foster families become ‘failed fosterers’ as they decide to keep the kittens. It can be very hard to let them go when you have seen them through the toughest time of their little lives.

We at KWWSPCA have no problem with fosterers failing! The Kitty cottage also did amazing work with 52 cats and kittens homed in the month. The work continues.
