Kildare Rescue Tails: Belly rubs non-negotiable for Lucy

Lucy is a great character!
Kildare Rescue Tails: Belly rubs non-negotiable for Lucy

Lucy is the quite the character

MEET lovely Lucy, a French Bulldog with a beautiful lilac fawn coat.

Lucy is quite the character at the shelter and, at four years of age knows, exactly what she wants.

Belly rubs on demand are non-negotiable!

This little lady is highly affectionate and laps up human attention.

She walks very well on the lead and loves to curl up on the sofa next to volunteers during break times.

She can be selective when it comes to canine company, so we feel Lucy should be homed as an only pet, where she will have her humans all to herself.

If you are interested in welcoming Lucy into your home, please visit the ‘Adopt a dog’ section of our website, where you can read her full profile and complete an ‘Expression of Interest’ form.

A reminder that our dog section is hosting a volunteer recruitment day this coming on Sunday 4 October from 11am – 2pm.

The event is an ideal opportunity for anyone who may be curious about volunteering with us to visit the shelter and learn more about our society and the day-to-day duties of a shelter volunteer.

There will, of course, be a chance to meet a few of our dogs and to chat to some of our current volunteers about their incredibly rewarding and important work.

If you think volunteering with rescue dogs might be for you then come along and join us on the day and find out how you can get involved. Eircode for the shelter is W12 EV60.

Please note that the recruitment day is purely for those interested in volunteering with our dog section.

If you are more of a cat person and would like to find out more about volunteering opportunities with our Kitty Cottage, then please text VOLUNTEER to 089 458 8162.

The KWWSPCA is a registered charity, no. CHY 6280 and can be contacted at kwwspca@gmail.com.

You can learn more about our society and how to get involved on our website: www.kwwspca.ie.

We are run entirely by volunteers and every euro donated goes directly to the care of our animals.
