Kildare Rescue Tails: Charity needs new home

THE KWWSPCA has received some unsettling news regarding its home. Although we’ve had 10 good years at our current premises in Athgarvan, with a very good relationship with our landlord throughout that time who has been a great supporter of our work, the KWWSPCA must vacate by February next year as the property is to be sold. We had been hoping this day would not come and that we could enjoy continued use of our premises until our new shelter would be built on our already-purchased land. Unfortunately, it seems this is not to be.

However, we will not be deterred from continuing our important work so we are now actively seeking an alternative home for the interim period. Should any of our supporters have, or indeed be aware of, suitable and available premises that we could rent short time then we really would appreciate hearing your suggestion.

We need a few acres with some stables or farm outbuildings and would be very good tenants with public visiting restricted to a few hours each Saturday. We can be contacted at kwwspca@gmail.com or by calling 085 2354939.

As is usual, our lurchers and greyhounds are slower than our small dogs to be chosen for new homes. We currently have eight in our care along with five very young puppies who’ll soon be ready for homing.
