Kildare Rescue Tails: Collies make great family pets
These collies need a home
OUR annual Dog Show at Punchestown on Sunday 28 September was a great success with many of the attendees already eagerly awaiting next year’s event. The weather was good to us and many very happy and proud dog-owners went home with their rosettes.
Pictured here is the overall Best in Show winner, a beautiful and well-behaved Collie.
We nearly always have Collies at the shelter in need of homes. Currently Mark, Sable and Freya (pictured) are all waiting to be chosen. They are a high-energy breed who require a lot of mental stimulation and activity, but they are also a very loyal and friendly breed who make great family pets.
Mark is in great condition, has endless energy, wants to be out investigating the world and just loves heading off for a walk. Sable and Freya are four-month-old sisters who are sweethearts dedicated to each other, love their cuddles and playtime and are nice, easy walkers.

Our cat section has been very successful recently in finding homes for kittens and cats. There are still many more Shelter residents waiting for homes and we would love to see them sorted before the winter sets in. Please check the cat section of our website.
