Kildare Rescue Tails: Last shelter open day this weekend

Do you have a home for Leo
WE at KWWSPCA believe that Christmas is not the ideal time to adopt a new pet into the home, so we generally cease our adoption programmes by mid-December.
The rehoming teams are working especially hard at the moment to try to find homes for the current shelter residents. The final open day (without appointment) for the adoption of cats and kittens at the animal shelter will be Saturday 7 December from 1.30pm to 3.30pm. If the date is unsuitable then the team will do their best to facilitate any potential adoptions by texting/whatsapp ‘ADOPT’ to 0894588162.
Please check our website or Facebook pages for further information. There is no open day for adopting any of our dogs as all applications must come through the normal system.
Please go to kwwspca.ie/adopt-a-dog to see the current dogs available and submit the relevant application form. For any unadopted dogs by mid-December, we are arranging temporary foster homes for the Christmas period so that our Volunteers can take a break.
If you’re interested in being part of this programme and your home is suitable, please contact us by email at kwwspca@gmail.com or call our helpline at 087 6887136. Some of our cats may be suitable for such a programme also.
This coming Saturday 7 December, our Volunteers will be at the Whitewater Shopping Centre, Newbridge shaking their buckets for our Christmas Collection.
Our specially formed KWWSPCA choir will add to the atmosphere and its repertoire will include a special composition by some of our own volunteers. Pop by to say hello if you’re in the shopping centre.
Pictured here is Leo, one of our cats available for adoption who is a super-friendly boy who loves cuddles and needs a family to love him for Christmas.
