Kildare Rescue Tails: Lotus is ready for walkies!

THE shelter is as busy and full as ever and one of the current residents is Lotus. She is a good-natured, 2-year-old with a lovely fluffy soft coat and always ready for her walks!

Although a little strong on her lead, Lotus walks well but needs an adult handler. We get all types of dogs in our shelter, but Lotus stands out simply due to her striking looks.

There hasn’t been much interest in her yet, but we hope she gets sorted soon. Please read about her on our website kwwspca.ie.

It seems we have a fundraiser almost every week at the moment. Our volunteers are very, very busy but are so passionate about the cause that they never stop working.

Next Sunday morning, 10 November, will see a coffee meet-up at a very popular and dog-friendly cafe in the Monread/Morrell area of Naas called ‘Hey Darling’.

A Sunday morning running group operates from this cafe, so the fundraiser is being tied in with this event. We hope to have some of our rescue dogs make an appearance and we look forward to receiving lots of support.

We still have lots of cats and kittens needing homes. If you would like to meet some with a view to adopting, we have adoption day every Saturday at the shelter in Athgarvan between 1.30-3.30pm.
