Kildare Rescue Tails: Lurcher pups overlooked for fluffier breeds

Lurcher pups

OUR three-month-old, lurcher puppies have not yet been chosen for forever homes but luckily they seem unfazed and are quite content at the shelter with all the attention they are receiving.

Don, Jimi, Rory and Tom have all now begun their lead-training and are enjoying daily outdoor playtime. Unlucky to be black rather than fawn in colour, which seems to affect their adoption chances, these guys were recently overlooked for potential homes in favour of smaller, fluffier puppies.

We can assure you they are every bit as cute. They’re a lovable tangle of limbs when playing together and will grow to be tall dogs but they are cuddly and affectionate and will make wonderful family pets. Please read all about them and see more photographs on our website http://kwwspca.ie/adopt-a-dog.

We are currently looking for a new home for Ruby who is eight years young and is a lovely, tan & white coloured Terrier Cross.

She’s as good as gold, is house-trained, okay with other dogs and is a quiet, small lady. Very easy to walk on her lead, happy in her own company and very accepting of any affection going.

We would like her to be the only dog in a home though as she’s a bit set in her ways and may not want to share her new owner with another dog. She has been loved but unfortunately had to leave the home she’s had for the past 8 years.

Ruby will make a marvellous companion pet and her adoption details can be found on our website at http://kwwspca.ie/adopt-a-dog/Ruby KWWSPCA is a registered charity no. CHY 6280 and can be contacted at kwwspca@gmail.com. All our details can be found at http://kwwspca.ie.
