Kildare Rescue Tails: Paudie finds a home

Paudie has now found a home
AS an animal rescue charity we find ourselves constantly in demand to help save the lives of unwanted kittens and puppies, older or infirm cats and dogs along with all the usual welfare cases of homeless animals.
Our shelter is always operating at maximum capacity and we find ourselves more in need than ever of temporary foster homes while we complete the process of finding good permanent homes.
Some animals require permanent fostering due to age or illness. In these cases our charity will fund the lifetime expenses of the animal while the fosterer provides the loving home.
One such case is Paudie who has an old paw injury and had spent his entire 10-year life as a stud dog at a puppy farm.
An absolutely gorgeous and friendly golden retriever, we just wanted him to live in comfort as a 'normal dog' for his golden years.
We put out the appeal and thankfully that special foster home came to be. Paudie looked quite happy to be leaving the shelter in considerable style. We are very grateful to his foster family and indeed to all our foster families whom we rely on so much to help us with special cases just like Paudie.
If you think you’d like to join our fostering program for either cats or dogs, please email us, send us a Facebook message or leave a phone message and we will make contact with you to discuss.
