Kildare Rescue Tails: Plenty of cats need a good home

Hermoine

The KWWSPCA is at the moment having great success in rehoming cats and kittens. Eleven lucky cats got sorted during one of our Kitty Cottage Open Days which are currently held most Saturdays. There are plenty more still waiting including this very pretty tabby, Hermoine, pictured here.

Please check out our available cats on our website “kwwspca.ie” or our dedicated Facebook page “KWWSPCA Kitty Cottage”. Our walk-in, without appointment Cat/Kitten Adoption Centre will be open from 1.30 to 3.30pm this coming Saturday or with an appointment by texting ‘Kitten’ to 089 4588162 to arrange.

A story from Gracie, our rescue dog.

‘When dogs are taken out for walks, they should be kept on leads for safety but it turns out there’s another good reason. Mum let me loose for a run in the park and I spotted a family sitting down on the grass for a picnic.

‘I smelled what seemed to be pizza, so I ran over for a bite. I was very polite and didn’t bark or grab but just stood giving that pleading puppy-eye look that always works at home. The people kept telling me to go away and Mum came running over to get me. I never got any, people should be kinder to dogs. Another time I was having a great run on the beach going in and out of the water when I spotted a big towel on the beach, so I had a good roll around on it to dry myself off.

‘The owner wasn’t too happy with me because she was getting her baby ready to sit on it. Red-faced Mum had to come get me again. I don’t get left off my lead much anymore.’ KWWSPCA is a registered charity no. CHY 6280 and can be contacted at kwwspca@gmail.com All our details can be found at http://kwwspca.ie.
