Kildare Rescue Tails: we need your empties to help animals

The semi-feral cats in need of shelter
As a voluntary organisation we are constantly fundraising to pay our bills so we try and come up with new ideas every now and then for doing so.
Our latest initiative is to use the drink cans and plastic bottles return scheme to help generate new funds to purchase veterinary standard cages for our cat quarantine room.
We have issued an appeal to our supporters to collect the cans and bottles (with the re-turn logo) on our behalf at their workplaces and drop them in bulk to our shelter where we will then happily go through the process of loading them into the recycling machines.
We can also facilitate collecting them from a workplace if need be. Please text the word “Bottles” to 089 4588162 if you wish us to arrange a collection.
Another initiative is one called “Kitty Angels” where our cat supporters are setting up standing orders with their banks to donate €10 each month so that funds will always be on hand for emergency needs.
This is a great way of ensuring the smooth running of our cattery especially as we will soon be entering kitten season.
We currently have a group of three semi-feral young cats who need a safe place to live and we think perhaps a farm would be very suitable.
Unfortunately the person who was looking after them has moved to hospital and will be unable to look after them going forward.
The group consists of two males and one female all of whom have been neutered/spayed and vaccinated. Their needs are few: shelter, feeding and the occasional vet visit.
If you think you could look after the group, please send a text message to 089 4588162 and you will be contacted.
