The Greenfields Festival is set to make a major move next year, relocating to a larger site in Ballykilcavan in Laois to accommodate its growing and expanding line-up. Festival organiser Dan Curtis confirmed the move, saying the event had outgrown its previous site near Athy, where it has been held since its beginning.

“The site was just getting too small – the festival has outgrown it,” he said. “We’re expanding the festival with new sections, including a dedicated kids’ area, and we’ll have five stages next year with different genres of music.”

The 2026 Greenfields Festival will feature headline acts Block Rockin Beats and The Human League, with over 90 additional performers and DJs of various genres to be announced in the coming months. Early bird tickets go on sale on 23 October.

Mr Curtis said the move to Ballykilcavan offers over 30 acres of space, allowing for expanded facilities, including a walled garden area for glamping and camping, and a separate area for caravans and motorhomes.

The festival will also feature craft beer bars supplied by Ballykilcavan’s own brewery, adding to the local flavour of the event.

Greenfields Festival is organised by Dan Curtis and Edwina Mahon-Curtis, along with Fran O’Meara and Amanda Smyth.

“We’re getting loads of interest from different vendors now. They’re coming to us, instead of us going to them,” Dan added. “It’s great to see how much the festival has grown.”
