Kildare arts grants opportunities available

Kildare County Council announced 2025 arts grants and bursary awards with 17 distinct grants, commissions and bursary awards available for creatives in Kildare
KILDARE County Council has announced a range of funding opportunities for artists and creatives in 2025. With 17 distinct grants, commissions and bursary awards available, the council aims to foster creativity and support artistic projects across the county.
Some of the awards available include the Arts Act Grant scheme which is awarded for a specific body of work, project, exhibition, activity or event that stimulates public interest in the arts of the arts in the county. An individual or group involved in any creative work is invited to apply, including visual arts, theatre, literature, music, dance, opera, film, circus and architecture, in any medium. Applications can be made for Arts Act Grant awards up to €2,500.
Another grant is the Arts in Education Residency Award, which is open to all primary and secondary schools in Kildare who wish to engage a professional artist to enhance the school’s Arts Education programme. Applications can be made for awards of €2,500.
There is also the Culture Night 2025 Commission Award, which welcomes applications from artists for unique public-facing artistic projects for this year’s Culture Night celebrations. Commissions range from €2,000 - €4,000 and the Short Grass Film Commission Award aims to support film production in the county by commissioning on original film shot in Kildare. The winner of the award will receive €12,500 towards the cost of the film.
