Kildare Co Council to offer art grants worth up to €14,000

KILDARE County Council will be providing 15 separate arts grants for up-and-coming creatives in the county for 2026, and applications have now opened.
The Arts Service will offer the grants – worth up to €14,000 – across the full spectrum of art, including for writing, drama, painting, publishing, recording, dancing and film.
The closing date for most awards is Friday, 27 February at 12pm, however, please note that the deadline for the Drama League of Ireland Summer School Bursary Award is earlier, at 12pm on Monday 26 January.
Details regarding the Arts in Education Residency Bursary Award and the new Business Advice Sessions for Artists, in partnership with Kildare Local Enterprise Office (LEO), will be announced in February 2026.
With 15⯠separate grants, commissions and bursaries available, these opportunities are designed to support artists, creatives, arts collectives, community groups and youth groups across Co Kildare in the coming year. ⯠Applications are now open and can be submitted through our online portal on https://kildarecocoarts.submit.com.
Also on offer to support applicants, the council's arts service will host a series of free information sessions at locations throughout the county.
This begins online on Wednesday 14 January, 1-2pm, and in real time at the Riverbank Arts Centre the following day, Thursday 15 January between 6-7.30pm, and again on the following Saturday morning in Celbridge Library (17 January) from 10.30am until noon. All are welcome to attend, but booking is recommended online.
