Bank of Ireland Newbridge seeks upgrade

Bank of Ireland ATM machine
A PLANNING application has been submitted for upgrades to the Bank of Ireland branch on Main Street.
The proposed works include the removal and replacement of the existing external ATM.
Inside the bank, modifications are planned for the existing ATM room, including the removal of internal steps and lowering part of the floor to install new compliant steps and handrails.
Additionally, existing internal cash machines will be replaced with updated devices.
The building, listed as a protected structure under the National Inventory of Architectural Heritage, requires careful consideration for any alterations. The application also includes associated site works to facilitate the changes.
If approved, the upgrades aim to enhance accessibility and modernise banking services at the branch.
