Developer seeks approval for large housing project in Kildare Town

A MAJOR new housing development could be on the way for Kildare Town, as Thoval Properties Limited has submitted a planning application for a 66-home residential project in the townlands of Kildare and Whitesland East.

The proposed development includes a mix of housing types, comprising 16 three-bedroom semi-detached houses, two three-bedroom terraced homes, and a single two-bedroom terraced house.

Additionally, one four-bedroom detached home is planned, alongside a selection of duplexes and apartments.

These include eight two-bedroom ground-floor duplex units, eight three-bedroom duplex units spanning the first and second floors, and 30 two-bedroom apartments spread across three-storey blocks.

The 1.89-hectare site will also feature access roads, public open spaces, and associated infrastructure to support the new residential community.

If approved, the development would contribute to the growing housing supply in Kildare Town, addressing ongoing demand for housing in the area.
