Ardew Halting Site

NEW housing has been proposed at the Ardrew Halting Site in Athy by Kildare County Council.

The council has issued a Part 8 notice for the provision of five new-build detached group houses with space for caravan storage.

The proposal also includes associated works including upgrades to the existing vigil area and an access road.

The plan would also see the conversion of four semi-detached day houses into two detached houses with space for mobile home parking and the demolition of the existing caretaker unit and the construction of a new caretaker unit along with associated works.

The plans are available for inspection at the Kildare County Council office until Thursday 19 December. The documents will also be available to view on Kildare County Council’s website.

Submissions and observations for the proposed development must be made in writing before 4pm on Wednesday 15 January to Siobhan Barry in the council’s Housing Department or on the Kildare County Council website.
