Kildare shopper makes record trolley dash

A KILDARE shopper showed he was king of the aisles grabbing an incredible €1,200 in a trolley dash at Lidl.
Lidl Ireland recently held its annual Christmas Trolley Dash draw in aid of Family Carer’s Ireland. One winner in every one of Lidl’s 182 stores nationwide completed a 2-minute supermarket sweep-style dash.
Kildare customer Pranas Virvicius took home the retailer’s biggest Trolley Dash to date at Lidl in Kildare town with a remarkable haul of festive food and treats.
He showed the eye of the tiger and made the trolley dash like an Olympic sport, such was his steely-eyed commitment.
Nationally, the initiative raised €314,123 for Family Carers Ireland, including more than €19,000 from Kildare customers. Proceeds raised support family carers and young carers across the country.
