New owners of popular Kildare hotel celebrate next chapter

THE Keadeen Hotel’s owners, Matthew O’Callaghan and Denis Williams, welcomed the local community and public representatives Senator Fiona O’Loughlin, Cathal Barry TD and councillors, Pat Balfe, Peggy O’Dwyer and Brian O’Loughlin marking a continued legacy of family ownership and community commitment. The evening celebrated the O’Callaghan family’s plans Keadeen’s future, which include significant capital investment plans to both enhance the hotel’s current facilities, upgrade the leisure Centre and to add additional bedrooms which will enable the hotel to drive additional visitor numbers into the town and local area.
The hotel was acquired by the O’Callaghan family last July, experienced hoteliers, and owners of both The Fairways Hotel and The Gateway Hotel in Dundalk.
Matthew O’Callaghan, owner, said: “This evening was about celebrating the Keadeen’s legacy and sharing our commitment to its future with the Newbridge community. We look forward to adding new chapters to its rich history while retaining the warm, welcoming spirit that generations of guests have loved.”
As part of this transition, the O’Callaghan family has appointed Kildare native, and tenured hotelier, Michael Masterson, as the new general manager.
