NEWBRIDGE College students were given first hand insight into a multitude of careers and professions at the annual careers expo.
The Newbridge College Careers Expo for 5th year students took place recently on Friday, 8 May 2026. This collaborative event was hosted by Newbridge College in conjunction with the Newbridge College Union.

The aim of the event was that past pupils, would encourage and inspire the current students at Newbridge College on their chosen career fields and give students the chance to benefit from their wealth of expertise.
Speaking on the success of the Careers Expo, the expo committee was delighted with the turnout of past pupils and spoke of the excellent feedback received from the current students about the initiative.

Newbridge College Union President Stephen Clayton mentioned how incredibly grateful the union was to the members of the Past Pupil Union who generously gave up their time to pass on their career advice to the students creating such a wonderful atmosphere and energy in Walker House on the day.

With over 30 past pupil speakers the event gave students an insight into various careers, such as; Medicine and Nursing, Politics, Humanities and Society, Defence Forces & Gardai, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Law, Business, Retail, Finance, Hospitality, Computing/IT, Science, Physio & Sports Science, Education, Engineering, Architecture & Property, Marketing, Arts & Media and more.
Organisers had a special word of thanks to the past pupils, and to committee members who made it such a successful event.
