THE Kare community gathered together for an end-of-year celebration in Tougher’s recently.

The event was a chance for the people who use Kare's services, their families, and staff to get together and mark the festive season.
The event was opened by Kare CEO Deirdre Murphy who welcomed the guests.

She said: "Some of you have been part of Kare for many years, for others this will be your first social outing with us. Whatever your journey, we’re here to celebrate you and your achievements, big and small, throughout the year.
“That could be working on new skill or challenge, doing something independently for the first time, or setting your goals and wishes for 2025. You should all feel very proud. The same goes for families and friends who provide support and love at every step of the way as well."

MCs for the event were Eamonn Quirke and Ken Kavanagh from Kare's sports and recreation department.

The evening had spot prizes, a raffle and a disco with DJ Gavin Duane, as well as presentation of the Kare Photo of the Year competition.
