Kildare non-profit charity Teach Tearmainn was the recipient of this year’s AXA Community Award. Gerry Simpson, Naas Branch Manager, AXA Insurance, presented Lorraine Rowan from Teach Tearmainn with a cheque for €2,500 as the AXA Local Community Award winners. 

Teach Tearmainn is a non-profit organisation, with charitable status, serving women and children who are experiencing domestic violence. Established in 1999, the charity focuses around support for survivors and their families. Along with their refuge, Teach Tearmainn has an Outreach Centre located in Naas. 

The AXA Community Awards aim to empower community groups that are actively working to deliver positive change with each of their 24 branches awarding a local group each year.
