Three teens arrested over Naas stud fire

The fire at Rathasker Stud
Three male juveniles in their mid-teens were arrested by Kildare gardaí during an operation this morning, (19 February) in relation to the suspected arson attack at Rathasker Stud on 7 February.
The three were detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a Garda Station in County Kildare, and all have since been released without charge and referred to the Garda Youth Diversion Programme.
Investigations are ongoing.
The 7 February incident is believed to have occurred when a hay shed on the grounds went on fire.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene and the fire was extinguished by the fire brigade after a nine hour battle.
No injuries have been reported, either human or equine, although the stud lost 600 bales and three sheds.
