Kildare Rescue Tails: Cole scrubs up well!

Cole- before and after her make over

COLE, the cat, came into our care recently having suffered a broken jaw and shoulder about five weeks previously. He received his name because he was so dirty that he looked like he had been living in a coal bunker. The pain and sadness in his eyes was heartbreaking. Following a veterinary consultation, it was decided that the only way forward was to re-break the jaw and reset it which would give him the chance of a pain free future. Cole turned out to be the perfect gentleman and the best patient ever. He further endeared himself to all with his gentle nature while he endured every movement and treatment with a dignified silence.

Cole has now found his forever home with a lovely couple who adore him and will keep him in the style and comfort that every cat should have. We are very grateful to not only this couple but also the veterinary staff and our own Volunteers who looked after Cole so well and to all the amazing people who donated towards his medical care. It was all so worthwhile to see Cole now so content.

Our ‘Kitty Cottage’ at our animal shelter in Athgarvan is open without appointment every Saturday from 1.30pm to 3.30pm for anyone interested in adopting a cat or kitten. Our Volunteers will be happy to chat with you and guide you towards a cat that would best suit you. Just bring a cat carrier with you, together with photo ID and the adoption fee of €100, and you will be able to leave the shelter with your new family member. The adoption fee is to help us with our veterinary bills as your cat will leave us already microchipped, vaccinated, neutered/spayed and treated against worms and fleas.

The Eircode for ‘Kitty Cottage’ is W12 EV60. The KWWSPCA is a registered charity no. CHY 6280 and can be contacted at kwwspca@gmail.com All our details can be found at www.kwwspca.ie
