Kildare Rescue Tails: Little Link in need of new home

THIS week we feature two of our dogs in need of new homes. Enzo is seven months old and tiny Link is seven-years-old.

Enzo is a male lurcher currently in one of our foster homes as he had arrived to us with a back leg injury which required surgery.

Fully healed now, Enzo walks well on his lead and has learned basic commands – it helps that he is food-motivated for this task!

He travels well in the car, is house-trained, sleeps through the night without interruption and is comfortable in public settings such as cafes and restaurants. He shares his foster home with cats so this young lurcher is learning to live alongside them!

Enzo will make a lovely family pet.

Link too is currently residing in another of our foster homes. He is a lovely little dog whose favourite activities are curling up under a blanket for a nap and playing fetch with his toys.

He is very affectionate and loves sleeping either next to his human or on his/her lap.

He enjoys his short walks and is happy to be left home alone for some of his day.

Link likes his own space to be respected when sleeping and eating, a household without young children would be more suitable.

He can sometimes be initially wary of strangers, which he shows by barking, but once he gets to know them, he’s very affectionate and wants all of the cuddles.

Link should be the only dog in the house as he’s quite wary of other dogs too. He’ll keep his space when meeting other dogs during his walks.

Our shop in Newbridge, Noah’s Ark, has recently had a relaunch for Spring with lots of new stock and a bright new appearance.

The relaunch was marked recently with the visit to the shop of world-renowned zoologist, Desmond Morris, who gave a very informative and entertaining talk to a small gathering.

The shop’s opening hours are 10am to 5pm Monday to Saturday and 2pm to 5pm on Sundays. The shop is well worth a visit as there are lots of bargains to be had!
