Fans of Leonard Cohen are in for a real delight this May, as John MacKenna, renowned author and long-time friend of Cohen, leads a creative writing retreat based on the writings of the much-loved Canadian singer/songwriter.

Featuring more than 20 of Queen’s greatest hits, this electrifying production promises an unforgettable night of sensational music, spectacular choreography and pure rock ’n’ roll energy.

On the morning, attendees will have the opportunity to hear Angie speak about her writing journey, creative process, and the inspirations behind her work.

Known for having the second biggest parade outside Dublin, last year an estimated 20,000 people came to the town for the Parade, and stood behind 1,550 barriers – almost two kilometres.

This community event comprises a collaboration of local Kildare artists of all levels and genres who come together to bring this outstanding collection to the people of Newbridge and further afield.

"I grew up in the Bog of Allen, so there were reeds all around, and I've been making the crosses since I was in primary school."
