RELAY For Life Kildare are launching this year’s 24-hour event that sees local communities in Kildare come together to celebrate cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost to cancer, and stand together with those facing cancer.

"We look forward to growing the links forged to date"

The initiative encourages people to keep their personal and medical details in a common place, mainly top shelf of fridge, where it can be easily found in an emergency

Held in the Municipal District Office and compered by Patricia Berry, the PRO of Athy Tidy Towns, almost 30 awards were handed out to all sorts of winners in many varying categories

The scouts have been fundraising for Crumlin Hospital for the last 35-40 years in street collections and fasts

MORE than 600 children in Scoil Bhride Kilcullen took part in a Daidí na Nollag Dash around the school's running track, before breaking up for Christmas. All were encouraged to dress in some form of Christmas costume.
